Project Overview

When the Gibbston Valley Winery winemakers were ready to launch their debut NV Methode Traditionelle, they wanted a bottle label that would fizz just as much as their sparkling wine. The new label had to represent the winemakers’ quirky personalities and commitment to tradition while also showcasing the contents of the bottle as being both sophisticated and for the serious palate.

The end result was a black label printed on premium and textured stock with gold embossed font. The layout and style stuck to tradition but the design told a different story. By featuring the winery dogs, integral members of the winemaking team, the label captured the team’s fun-loving approach and commitment to innovation as pioneers of the Central Otago wine region.
